Our Ingredients
Amla
Also known as Emblica Officinalis, Amla is a traditional Indian herb often relied upon for its ability to increase defense against diseases. Amla also plays very important role as an antioxidant, immune-modulator, antipyretic, analgesic, cytoprotective, antitussive, anti-cancer, and antimicrobial. This may help with reducing blood pressure, increasing hair growth, and even supporting cardiovascular health. The oral administration of Amla appears to stimulate the neutrophil functions, thereby boosting immunity. Each capsule with Amla extract contains 500mg equivalent of Vitamin C.
Echinacea (Echinacea purpurea)
Also know as purple coneflower, Echinacea has shown the potential to help fight off upper respiratory tract infections, accelerate natural recovery after getting sick and nourishing immune systems. Echinacea has long history of medicinal use and today Echinacea preparations are used in several countries like USA, Germany and Australia. The chemistry and pharmacological actions of Echinacea is well documented and focuses on its immune modulation, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant antiviral, antimicrobial and antifungal effects.
Elderberry (Sambucus Nigra)
Most known for its world-class antioxidant property and natural vitamins, Elderberry also helps reducing cold and flu symptoms. The high amount of polyphenol content in Elderberry promotes immunity to foreign pathogens via various pathways. Different immune cells express multiple types of polyphenol receptors that recognize and allow cellular uptake of polyphenols, which subsequently activate signaling pathways to initiate immune responses.
Quercetin
A bioflavonoid found in fruits and vegetables; Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant. Quercetin has unique biological properties that reduces risk infection and improves mental/physical performance. Numerous studies have pointed out Quercetin’s basis for potential benefits to overall health and disease resistance, including antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, and psychostimulant activities. Quercetin is also being used in several hospitals around the world as an adjunct treatment for CoViD19 due to the fact that it significantly interferes with SARS-CoV-2 replication.
Vitamins C and D
Two of the most important vitamins integral to boosting our immune system are Vitamin C and Vitamin D. Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is a well-known antioxidant that can act as a cofactor for several enzymes involved in biosynthesis and regulation of gene expression. Vitamin C orchestrates the function of the human immune system by supporting various aspects of both the innate and adaptive immune system. Vitamin D, in addition to its classic effects on calcium and bone homeostasis; it is now known to express on immune cells thereby boosting immunity.
Zinc Citrate
Zinc is known to play an important role in the immune system and zinc deficient subjects may experience increased susceptibility to a variety of pathogens. Studies have shown that T cell functions (T cells are part of the immune system and help protect the body from infections) were affected adversely with zinc deficiency. Hence, Zinc supplementation can enhance immunity.
